color-palettes:

Shout out to this incredible color resource site! They give you anything and everything you could ever want to know about a color from color schemes to RGB percentage makeup. There’s even a color blindness simulator for help with using visible/accessible colors for all viewers.

So keep this site in mind if you’re a graphic designer, interior designer, artist, color enthusiast, or whatever! It’s quite awesome.

I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR THE LAST HOUR TO GET THIS TUTORIAL ON HERE, DAMN YOU TUMBLR.
I had to post the gif underneath because it kept breaking everything orz. It should go inbetween stage one and two.
I use a similar technique when painting in general so I thought I’d share ^^. Play around with different colours, if you want a more monotone look, then use just one colour to begin with.
But do remember, if you’re going to apply a filter of colour ontop,
remember to paint the new colours into the rest of the image otherwise it’ll just looked slapped ontop.
ouo, have fun paintin~ *rolls away*

oh yeah lips,
1. cat mouth
2. little smile under cat mouth
3. draw a little noes for the cat mouth (this will be the guide for the shading later)
4. draw another little smile for where you want the lip shading to end, make sure not to put it too far down or too high up unless the person has very very small lips or very very big lips.)
5. one thick smile along the bottom of the upper lip (not all the way to the line at the bottom)
6 and 7. the upper lips are usually darker than the bottom lips so make them a darker shade and do one half at a time to make it easier, and again not all the way to the line drawn for shading
8. shade, I used the water brush in SAI but whatever you fine works best for you to smear the lines is okay c:
9: shade in lines and highlight lower lip

I used this image because I’ve seen it posted without a source SO many times.  (I’m looking at you Disney fandom)

Artwork - [x]

I’m gonna go ahead and signal boost the living fuck out of this.

It’s VERY EASY to find the source to a picture. Please. Source them. This will show you step by step. If you can’t find the source after all of this, DON’T POST OR DON’T USE THE PICTURE.

Just want to reblog this again in case no one saw it. Please source your art! :)

I was looking for fonts recently and fell in love with many, so I figured I’d compile all my favorites. Some of them require a tweet or Facebook post to download. All credit goes to their respective makers.
